Why do older people always try to lead the younger generation down a certain path?

You have to carefully pick your mentors, pastors, successful executives, Mom and Dad…. are they on the path that makes sense to you?

Christians want to share God and His Son Jesus with you because it’s the only way to have eternal life in heaven. This is truth so don’t miss it as a young person.

Because the longer you have been alive, the more you have experienced, lived through, survived and learned. It’s the responsibility of the older generation to try to help the younger ones to live a better life. If I have experienced something that is painful, leads to hardship or failure, it seems my responsibility to share that with people who are younger when I see them heading in that same direction. If I have any compassion, caring or empathy at all I wouldn’t want to stand by and watch someone I care about make the same stupid mistake I did and have to deal with the pain, consequences. Experience is the best teacher and the older generation has a lot to say that makes a lot of sense and is very valuable as far as life lessons go. We should all look to people older than we are to learn and grow. They are much smarter and worldlier than we are and have already been through so many things we have yet to discover. At least be willing to listen, you just might learn something that saves your life or saves you from a lot of heartache. You may also get some ideas that help you succeed faster, grow quicker & become a better, more focused individual.
